Installation Instructions
Reflex Insulation™ Thermal Break Strips are designed to provide a thermal break to the exterior of the building frame after installing the building membrane or wall wrap. It is recommended to install the Thermal Break Strips at the same time as the external cladding for ease of install and best product performance.
- Install the VapourFlex® or other pliable building membrane to the roof or wall steel frame construction in accordance with AS 4200.2.
- Ensure the surface to be adhered to is clean, dry and free from dirt, grease, oil and other contaminants.
- Peel off the release liner the reverse side of the Thermal Break Strip.
- Once the structural framing has been located, centre the Reflex Insulation™ Thermal Break Strip parallel onto the framing.
- Apply the strip, and apply maximum pressure onto the product to ensure the pressure sensitive adhesive is engaged, by using a roller applicator or by hand.
- Install cladding or roofing materials as soon as possible.
